Accordion repair. Ремонт аккордеона после удара (левая механика) This is the mechanism inside the bass side of an accordion. If you aren&aware, the bass buttons on an accordion mostly play chords, so each button has to activate multiple reeds. This means you have 120 buttons, but they only play, say, 20 notes total, just in different combinations. This means the mechanism has to "map" 120 inputs to 20 outputs. This is done with a three-dimensional matrix of rods: each button has a vertical rod with a series of pegs that catch on horizontal rods. When the horizontal rods are pulled down, they rotate rods in the back of the mechanism, opening appropriate valves. The bass button board (google an image of one for reference) has 6 rows of keys. The second row plays single notes in a circle of fifths. The top row plays a major third above that. Then the next four rows are major, minor, dominant and diminished 7th chords. So there are apparently two mechanisms here, one for single notes and one for chords. I am not an expert on this model and design however.
