Dodge Challenger Wrecks Out Taking Curve At 160Mph Suspect Gets ejected From Vehicle Fatal Pursuit

The investigation to this pursuit is ongoing. Desmond Rowe, 31, of Lake Village died about 8:49 p.m. Sunday when the 2010 Dodge Challenger he was driving wrecked on Arkansas 208 near Dermott (Chicot County). According to a preliminary Arkansas State Police report, Rowe was driving west at a high rate of speed and failed to negotiate a left-hand curve in the roadway. His car exited the north side of the highway and struck an embankment, overturning and ejecting the driver. The car came to rest upright, facing west in the roadside ditch. The weather was clear and the road was dry. Sgt. Dakotah Bailey investigated the wreck. Rowe’s death was the fourth motor vehicle fatality in the Dermott area this weekend. Three people died in a two-vehicle collision on U.S. 165 on Friday afternoon.
