In the early twenty-first century, the Tyrell Corporation developed robots, called "replicants", that were supposed to aid society, which looked and acted like humans. When the replicants began a mutiny on an off-Earth colony, police units, called "blade runners", have the job of "retiring" (destroying). It&now November, 2019 in Los Angeles, California. Rick Deckard (Harrison Ford), a former blade runner, most combatn four known replicants, with their leader being Roy Batty (Rutger Hauer). Beyond tracking the four, Deckard faces a possible dilemma in encountering a fifth replicant: Rachael (Sean Young), who works as Tyrell&assistant. The problem is not only Rachael&assistance to Deckard, but that he is beginning to develop feelings for her. The soundtrack for the original Blade Runner, by Greek composer Vangelis, is almost as iconic as the film itself; it’s a classic piece of 1980s sci-fi synth scoring, moody and evocative, whose legendary status was increased by the frustrating unavailability of the recording for many years. The most prominent synthesiser used was the Yamaha CS-80. Other synthesisers are the ProMars, the Jupiter-4, the CR-5000 drum machine, the VP-330 Vocoder Plus,; a Sequential Circuits Prophet-10, a Yamaha GS1 FM synthesizer and an E-mu Emulator sampler. A Steinway grand piano, a Yamaha CP-80 electric grand and a modified Fender Rhodes were also used.
