Mercury 25 Sea Pro 1999 Overview

Just a video of my Mercury 25 Sea Pro. I just bought it off of craigslist and I had no idea if it ran; just took his word on it. After rebuilding the carburetor and testing it in the St. Johns River everything seems to be working just fine. I have it on the back of a 1991 Johnsen Skiff that is about 14&11" long. I rebuilt the Joshnsen Skiff by cutting out all the original seating and storage areas and building it to look pretty much like a flats boat with walk around gunwales and a large casting deck up forward and back aft. I also cut out a tunnel that is about 3.5" high. Not sure if that&how they are measured. The rebuild added quite a bit of weight compared to the original weight of the boat, but even with the same old prop beat up prop it runs at 22 mph. It is also dragging quite a bit in the water, because of the long shaft and the tunnel. I plan on putting a Bob&Machine Shop Mini Manual Jack Plate on the transom to raise the engine up a bit. At least it runs for now.
