It had 2-band MEC (BEC, it seemed to be called at that time) preamp. I see Prolines that has Active-MEC Pickups as often as Passive MEC Pickups. Later in 1995, corvette standard was released as successor model of Proline, and maybe at this time Bubinga and Ash body ones was released. (corvette Proline seemed to be manufactured nearly till the end of 1990s) At the end of 1990s, the war in congo where warwick got the source of wenge, broke out. By the influence of this incident, warwick changed their regular neck material wenge to ovangkol, and the neck of warwick basses were reshaped thicker at this time.
