I reveal a few of my 3D printer print"ations": Vase for my mom; Simple desktop solar system; Grip for a Nintendo Switch Joy-Con Contoller; Earth vase for pens. Be sure to like and/or comment on this video if you want to see more of these videos! The 3D printer I use is the Qidi tech X-One2. Comes with a starter roll of orange PLA wire for printing. (PLA vs ABS wire - PLA is better for detailed projects and smells better - ABS is a bit stronger but smells like burning plastic) Set up literally took my dad about 30 minutes and we were printing the test print. No calibration was needed. It has been a superb starter 3D printer!! This 3D printer also comes with it&own SLICER program, a SD card and a SD card reader to transfer your STL files from your computer to this 3D printer. The STL files are everywhere on the internet; some popular sites we use: Yeggi, Thingiverse. The SLICER program takes the STL files you download from the internet and "slices" the model of your choice into algorithmic grids that this 3D printer can read. All STL files need to be "processed" by a SLICER program in order to printed with a 3D printer I&printed 8 of these Nintendo Switch Joy-Con grips and they have all worked perfectly. Each one takes about 4 hours to print. The top buttons need to be printed separately but they only take about 30 minutes. After they&printed, my dad takes a sharp razor knife and shaves off any flashing from the supports that I tear off. Then he sands it for...
