This is a pretty greasy groove that Roger Hawkins played for Aretha back in Muscle Shoals. A very deep groove he had. The envy of many. A Micing technique that is different and is more 60&for sure. No top snare mic. Out of phase bottom mic, Overheads, Kick, Large D condenser room mic off my right shoulder. Bit of reverb. No e.q. nothing else, just verb. &Suporaphonic 5 x 14 snare tuned down like Roger's. 14" Paiste Alphas because they sound good. 18" early 60&Avedis crash. 20" Kerope Rest is Yamaha. Didn&what to set up the Ludwigs. These sounded good.
