Akai AJ 525@IndianAntiqueHouse The AJ-525 is a 4-speaker ghettoblaster from Akai. Its dimensions are 572 x 284 x 156 mm, with 16cm woofers and 4cm tweeters. It is an upgraded version of the Akai AJ-505, with a digital clock, and chrome knobs instead of black knobs. It is described as having 12 watts per channel, but we don&know whether that is peak power or minimum FTC. Akai Boomboxes Akai is an electronics company founded in Tokyo, Japan by Masukichi Akai and his son, Saburo Akai in 1929. They were first known as Akai Electric Co., Ltd. They went out of business in 2000, but the Akai brand is now owned by Akai Sales Pvt Ltd. in Singapore. They started out producing audio and musical equipment, then later home appliances, VCRs, DVD players, televisions, digital products and much more, including boomboxes, which they still manufacture today.
