VW Polo: How to replace the thermostat (16v, 1.4, 6N2) (#122) The engine was overheated due to the faulty thermostat. This video provides some basic information about replacing the thermostat. 1. Drain the coolant by removing the bottom hose from the radiator 2. Remove the thermostat flange connected to the bottom hose 3. About the installation (Please note: if the hole in the cross member of the flange is through, you have to buy a new flange!!!) (4. Refill the coolant and bleed the system) Hope this help someone!
