Some are reminded of them with a song, some with a certain fragrance or meal even, but for me it has to a pillarless coupe from Mercedes! Forget the glass dropping at the touch of a button, the cruise control, heating and cooling electric memory seats and TV, this car is about sheer raw unadulterated brute force! The rarity of the W215 with a hand built Brabus 5800 cc engine with accompanying full exhaust system runs to around 250 perhaps. with circa 450 wild horse on instant tap, the car literally started peeling itself apart the one time I hammered it. The numbers on the dash were the only confirmation you had of the speed you were traveling at, as the built quality was so good that around the 200 KPH mark, you were still cushioned from the world outside!
