LinuxCNC on Orange Pi One

Decided to change my CNC mill from being run by Grbl on an Arduino to using LinuxCNC. Grbl lacks some things I wanted to be able to use. Mainly cutter radius compensation, backlash compensation, canned cycles, and pendant control. I had used LinuxCNC on a previous machine and knew it could do all I wanted but I didn&want to use an old desktop PC like I did in the past. I originally was going to use a Raspberry Pi with a Mesa card but found out about a project to use an Orange Pi without a Mesa card that looked like it could achieve the results I wanted. I only needed about 30 kHz step rate and this is supposed to be capable of up to 1 MHz step rates, but I don&need anywhere near that high. Anyway, this video shows the setup thus far. More information can be found at these links by the creator of this adaptation of LinuxCNC. There is also much forum discussion at this link on the LinuxCNC.org site. Much thanks to the creator, user MX_Master on the linuxCNC forum.
