CALBUZZ: July Field Poll Shows Whitman and Brown in Early Dead Heat

Field Poll released for July 2010 assessing the California Governor&Race. Candidates Meg Whitman and Jerry Brown are tied overall. The gap between them in key demographic groups is narrower than expected. Whitman has begun focusing her spending on ethnic media to build support, particularly among Latinos, and is painting Jerry Brown as a failed politician. Brown has yet to respond, or really mount a meaningful attack as he assesses the right time to enter the race in light of his financial constraints. Are Californians swayed by the ads - or is it that all they&seeing...is Meg?
