Improvisation with Moog Subharmonicon through reverb & delay. Using Dreadbox Erebus & Doepfer Dark Energy as modulation utilities. This is an interesting being, if approached intellectually becomes fiddly and awkward but if used through feeling and listening becomes something else. For example the sequencer dials aren&marked and pretty small for precise settings to get the polyrhythm one is aiming for. Maybe using another module for generating precise CV and feeding that to the rhythm generators could achieve this but I&actually finding setting these without too much care and carving out patterns from the chaos pretty rewarding. Using Ableton for fx duties with Soundtoys Echoboy, Eventide Blackhole & Fabfilter Q3 !!!UPDATE!!! The Moog Subharmonicon features on a couple of tracks on my cello centric album And Where Are You Really From? on Polar Seas Recordings. The videos on &Shift. Repeat&are here to give some ideas of how various audio equipment sounds and what an example of the various sound worlds that can be created. Not as serious pieces of music in themselves. I find myself watching a lot of videos myself without talking to work out whether a piece of equipment is for me. Most of my work is on the ambient, drone, soundscape, experimental side and as a sound designer that is what I explore. So if its not for you maybe another channel will give a better idea.
