Carmina&new recording of the song Danny Boy, commissioned by Phil Weatherly, the descendant of the song&writer, Frederic E. Weatherly, to celebrate the centenary of its first publication. It&due for release on Real World Records on 17th March 2013 and is available for download on itunes now. The song was recorded at the Castalia Hall, Camphill Community, Ballytobin, Co. Kilkenny, Ireland and features: Pippa Marland (vocals); Rob King (guitar); Geoff Castle (Piano); Diarmaid Moynihan (uillean pipes); James Blennerhassett (double bass) and Julian Nicholas (tenor sax). Track recorded by Ciaran Byrne and mixed by Rob King and Tim Martin at Windmill Lane Studios, filmed by Enda O&and edited by Tamara Rome and Rob King at Films at 59, Bristol.
