Adding Audacity effects to a vocal track is quite easy and Audacity EQ or equalizer is one of these effects. Adding Audacity Equalizer can help improve the sound of your track dramatically. Once you have recorded a vocal track in Audacity, or any recording for that matter, and you want to change the tone of the track you will need the Audacity Equalizer plugin. you use this by first selecting the sound you want to change. Go to the EFFECT menu and choose EQUALIZATION. This will open the Audacity Equalizer plugin. You will see a number of vertical sliders which can be used to change the sound of your track. The sliders to the right are the high frequencies (pitches) and the sliders to the left are the lower frequencies. Play with the sliders, hit ok and listen to the changes. If you don&like what you hear then go EDIT UNDO and try some new settings. Audacity also provides a number of presets that you can explore as well. Try these by clicking the "Select Curve" pull-down menu. They have given us a number of EQ presets that sound like recording media and radio. Some of these may be useful and they will give you an idea of what the Audacity equalizer can do for you. Explore!! Explore the EQ to find settings that best work for you.
