My in-depth review of the Makita US403A corded electric chainsaw. This is currently the most powerful and "professional grade" corded electric chainsaw sold in the world. It is available from several online vendors in the USA, but rarely (if ever) found in stores. It is a specialized item which has grown in popularity for off grid use, but can only be used on more powerful off grid power systems which are capable of running a full 15 amp power tool, which means you need a 3KW inverter (minimum) to run this saw. It appears to use the same 15 amp motor assembly as their professional grade worm drive circular saws. These are consider the king of off grid homesteader chainsaws.
