The Zoom R12 is a portable multitrack recorder that can run off AA batteries or power supplied through it&single USB type C port. Unfortunately, if you are powering the R12 via USB, you won&be able to connect flash drives for saving or importing files, and you won&be able to use MIDI controllers for the R12&synth track. Luckily you can use a USB hub to expand the R12&functions. In this video I demonstrate how to connect a USB hub to a R12, then power it with a USB battery bank. I&also demonstrate how to connect a MIDI controller to play sounds using the R12&built-in synth track. Finally, I use a USB flash drive to import a mono .WAV track file into an ongoing R12 project.
