With literary origins in the Yajurveda (Shatapatha Brahmana), Matsya is often associated with post-Vedic literature such as the Puranas which entail legends describing the rescue of Vaivasvata Manu from a deluge and that of the four Vedas stolen by a demon named Haygriva. Matsya is listed as the first incarnation of the Dashavatara, the ten principal avatars of Vishnu. Matsya iconography is on occasion zoomorphic and depicts a giant fish with a horn. It is usually anthropomorphic with depictions of a form of human torso connected to the rear half of a fish To book Dashavatar Puja Visit Official Websites : To avail counselling and Rudraksha Ratna Science Therapy recommendations for chakra balancing Visit our Centre near you to avail counselling Feel free to write to us if you have any queries You can connect with us on WhatsApp: +917021180033 Follow us on Social Media Facebook Quora Speaking Tree Twitter Linkedin
