Are you trying to make the jump from the Home Assistant Operating System to Home Assistant Containers, but don&know how to get your system up and running without access to all you app? Have no fear! This video will take you from a basic install of TrueNAS Scale all the way to seeing your Zigbee Devices in Home Assistant, and while I don&cover it, the same basic steps should work for getting your Z-wave or Matter devices linked up as well! Here are the commands used in this video: ➤ Create an MQTT User in Mosquitto: mosquitto_passwd -c /mosquitto/configinc/password.txt mqtt_user ➤ Create a configuration file for your Mosquitto Password(Run this from the /mosquitto/configinc directory): echo "password_file /mosquitto/configinc/password.txt" (greater than symbol goes here, sorry YouTube doesn&let me put it in directly) passwordconfig.conf ➤ Figure out what port your Zigbee Adapter is connected to: ls -l /dev/serial/by-id ➤ Connect to your USB adapter by Serial-id: /dev/serial/by-id/[YOUR_SERIAL_ID] Want to support me in making these videos?
