Gel Test - The DDupleks Dupo 28

___________________ In this video we take a look at the Dupo 28 steel slug manufactured by DDupleks. The Dupo 28 is very similar to the Hexolit 32. The one major difference is mass. The Dupo 28 is an entire 65 grains lighter than the Hexolit 32. This enables it to travel a bit faster down range. DDupleks claims that this aids the shooter is hitting moving targets are farther distances. The Dupo 28 is designed to perform differently depending on where the target is hit. If you strike you target near the front soft tissue are, the Dupo 28 performs like a hollow point slug. This causes a moderate permanent cavity and takes down the game without damaging the meat. If you miss and hit your target near the rear where all of the dense muscle tissue is, the Dupo 28 performs more like the Hexolit 32. It fragments and creates a conical destruction path. This deals maximum damage to ensure that your target is brought down in the most humane way. The Dupo 28 seems like a good mix between damage and meat preservation. Once the slug stuck the gel, we saw immediate fragmentation.The slug created a temporary cavity of roughly 8 inches in diameter. This was one of the most destructive slugs we have ever tested. Our testing setup mimicked the more dense tissue of an animal&rear. The six petals expanded off of the slug in a conical fashion creating their own half inch cavities as they went.
