Chillingham Castle. Ghost Cannon

Recorded in the Great Hall of Chillingham Castle at about 01.30. The castle was locked up and alarmed and we were the only people staying that night. I&set a microphone up in the Great Hall and during our 5 night stay, I would plug it into my mini-disc recorder as the lead came under the door into the courtyard. I would set it to record for 3.5 hours and this is one of many sounds that were recorded - and the castle was empty apart from us. I think this is a distant cannon but who&firing a cannon in the middle of nowhere at 01:30 ?
