Milk is the first thing we taste when we come to this world in that sense it is the source of life. It holds such a special place in Mongolian life that it is used in many sacred rituals rooted deep in Mongolian history and culture. Сүү өргөх is performed by married women (mothers), it’s the first thing they do in the morning after making milk tea. While they sprinkle milk in the air they send good thoughts to their loved ones and to nature. Good thoughts are always followed by good energy. (Energy follows thought.) АРГАЛ The original lyrics says: Аргалын цогонд цайгаа бүлээлж Warming tea on the embers of dung. Аргал means dry cow dung. It might sound offensive to you, but аргал is an essential part of Mongolian herders’ lives.
