CUM ON FEEL THE NOIZE, Dave Hill on the 'Slade' Guitar Sound

There&a definite &guitar sound¬ just because a lot of our great hits were played on the same guitar - the one which dad bought for me, but because of the way I play guitar and my musical influences. I&left handed but play the guitar right handed and that means the strength and power is in my left hand. I think it&also due to the blend of hard cranging cords and the melody, which I love. It&a sort of a Chuck Berry meets Hank Marvin sound. Those early Shadows instrumental hits also taught me how the guitar could be the most distinctive part of the overall sound. I think Cum on Feel the Noize is the best example of this.
