Welcome to my unboxing, showcase, and first impressions of the MOONDROP Stellaris! 🌟🌠⭐💨🦖 Thank you to SHENZHENAUDIO for powering this video! DISCLAIMER: I WAS PROVIDED THE UNIT IN EXCHANGE FOR A NO-FRILLS, UNBIASED REVIEW. I AM NEITHER PAID NOR COMMISSIONED TO PROVIDE A SKEWED REVIEW. 𝗧𝗟;𝗗𝗪 (𝗧𝗼𝗼 𝗟𝗼𝗻𝗴 ; 𝗗𝗶𝗱𝗻&𝗪𝗮𝘁𝗰𝗵) ➡️ Overall Tonality - Moondrop’s take on a v-shaped sound, still retains the their in-house HRTF sound while injecting some of the fun of 2017-18 era IEMs ala TFZ or TRN - VERY bright and cold sounding, prefers warmer sources with a lot of power - Planar sheen is particularly present and up front, perfect example to use as an introduction to the planar timbre - Higher powered sources is almost mandatory for this IEM, needs the extra power to unlock its true potential - Minus the sometimes-irritating upper mid harshness, the Stellaris is my most preferred Moondrop IEM at the moment ➡️ Bass - Subbass focused, has quick attack attack and decay to bass hits - Despites its laser sharp bass presentation, retains the much-needed rumble for a fun experience - Mid-bass is lacking to absent, thus resulting to non-punchy bass hits that bassheads like to have - Lack of midbass is alright for me subjectively, as the heaps of subbass makes up for the meat and authority that drives the rhythm of songs - Perfect for more modern and relaxed genres, harder genres tend to lose their aggression in the Stellaris ➡️ Midrange - The Stellaris’ weakness, subjectively - This is where...
