Технологии будущего: новые горизонты и возможности
It was time to learn about the first applications of this new light source in home theater projectors following the announcement of the ALPD®5.0 specifications (a combined triple laser and triple LED). Dangbei is the one who hits the ball first with his X5 Ultra. a model with a long focal length that adopts the Mars and Mars Pro 4k&existing cubic shape. I had been anticipating the initial announcements regarding the cohort for ultra-short throws, but I was mistaken. With a product that can be mounted on the ceiling or placed on a table away from the screen, the Chinese manufacturer keeps up its momentum. Therefore, the X5 Ultra is outfitted with super panchromatic ALPD5.0 laser technology, with a 2500 CVIA advertised brightness. Its DMD chip is a 0.47′′ model with XPR processing to emulate 4K. Its broad gamut ought to enable it to meet and possibly surpass the rec.2020 references (I&verify this in its test). It is not affected by the chromatic and speckle aberration phenomena that some triple laser projectors experience. Similar to the Xgimi Horizon Ultra model (also reviewed on this blog), the manufacturer touts a colorimetry that is less than 1 deltaE out of the box. I&curious to know what deltaE they mean. I&willing to bet that a global version is already planned, given its steadily growing presence in Europe (Dangbei had a booth at the IFA in Berlin this year). It is yet to be determined when it will reach us and how much it will cost. #X5Ultra
