The different forms of Echeveria colorata One of my favourite echeveria species is the colorata. I have the 3 base forms: - Echeveria colorata &(aka Echeveria colorata fa. colorata) - Echeveria colorata fa. brandtii - Echeveria colorata &Giant' I like the Mexican Giant so much because of its size and white farina, but the others have similarly very interesting shape, which I really like (same reason why I like the agavoides species too). These are the 3 different naturally-occurring forms of the colorata. The rest that are coming out are cultivars (cultivated varieties). It&quite easy to tell them apart. The Mexican Giant will be the easiest to spot. If given enough light, it develops a very thick, white farina. The rosette also grows to a very large size. The brandtii form has long, slender leaves. The Lindsayana is closer in shape to the Mexican Giant, but with not as white of a farina. The red tips are visible much like on the brandtii. I am on Patreon!
