Studio One Pro 7: Guide to Multiband Sidechaining

What is sidechaining and when is it useful? Sidechaining is process of compressing (or ducking) audio, triggered by another track. This can be especially powerful when you have two elements that occupy - and maybe even clutter - same space in frequency spectrum, such as kick/bass drum and bass guitar or synth parts. Sidechaining in this instance allows for kick/bass drum to cut through bass guitar or synth. But, what if we want to get even more precise? What if instead of ducking track&entire audio, we want to only duck specific frequency range of track? This is where multiband sidechaining becomes useful.
