Anbernic RG-350 and RG-351P: First Look

Looking for an alternative to a modded Game Boy and a flash cart? These devices might be just the ticket. Banggood reached out and sent me a couple of Anbernic&emulator handhelds to check out and make a video on. I also HIGHLY recommend picking up a new, high quality name brand micro SD card (Samsung, SanDisk, etc) to use with either of these. The device software and ROMs are all stored on a uSD card and the ones that come with these devices are cheap, no name SDs that apparently have reliability issues. On one of the devices, replacing the SD card also seemed to fix some random stuttering I in games was experiencing. Looking for a more general and succinct review? Check out Retro Game Corps&videos and site Their guides are invaluable for devices like this and I actually used them myself to tweak both of these devices after the video and the results are significant. TL;DW: RG-351P is really nice out of the box, hardware wise. Software could use some tweaks though. I do have some complaints but I&overall very impressed. Button feel is lower quality than most of the handhelds I&used to (Nintendo Game Boys or Microsoft Xbox Series controllers) but these aren&certainly bad. I dislike how much tweaking and setup is needed to get a good "turn on and just play" experience but, once it&setup, you can just turn it on and play. More on this in the next video.
