Thanks for stopping by. This was a fun one. It’s one of my all time favourite Metallica tracks and one of the heaviest ever IMO. I got hold of the original master tracks and replaced the guitars with my own. Quad tracked (4 separate takes layered together) with a combination of Marshall, Mesa and Peavy Cab IRs. While I aimed for a similar scooped kind of tone I knew I wouldn’t get anywhere close to James’ iconic guitar tone on this album so I tried to get somewhere I felt was in the same realm but still a tone I personally enjoy and not trying to completely recreate it.
