Mrs Dynoguy wanted a more powerful stand mixer as her cheapo tilt-head chinamix is not exactly designed for semi-commercial use. So i looked around and found a KitchenAid 5KPM5 which is a bowl lift type stand mixer (made in USA), pretty much exactly what she was looking for. As usual, i did not want to spend half a grand for the thing, so i opted for a gamble and bough a faulty one. I think i was fairly lucky, apart from a few missing teeth and in desperate need of a thorough clean, the thing is in reasonable shape. There is little wear on the internals, It almost looks like that it broke down rather early in it&life and then just sat there collecting grime. Adding the cost for the new gear and some food safe grease it will still be less than what i paid for the chinamix some 5 years ago. This part covers disassembly, inspection and identifying the faulty part. showing re-assembly and test (c) 2017 www.dynoguy.co.uk
