There is, perhaps, no other place on earth where such linguistic diversity is encountered in such a confined area. The characters in the film reflect with such candour on life and death, now weeping, now laughing with joy. They share memories of their past and hopes for the future, showing us their true system of values. Viewers will hear the melodic sounds of many Dagestani languages and embark on a cinematic journey to the very heart of this region to sense how it truly breathes, giving us a sense of its soul, and beauty. We hear the wisdom of centuries in languages spoken since the beginning of time. For sometimes we hear the most essential truths in languages we don&understand but sense with our whole being.
