Grundig was a pioneer in the field of transistorised world receivers in the 60&and 70&having previously also been a market leader in the tube radio era. Many would defend that Grundig was indeed the leader in the transistor era, especially in the production of radios that have since gained iconic status. The Satellit 6500 Professional was launched in the mid 80&as a progressive improvement in a series of really great receivers that gained a faithful market following, and is to this day something to behold. I&got the 2000, the 2100 and the iconic 3400, and have always wanted one of these to complete the set. Prices are quite steep, but patience paid off and I got lucky here, so this is it - my own Grundig Satellit 650 Professional. It was sold as not working, which just makes the project a little more fun. I know, I&a sucker for punishment. Stick around. It&be fun.
