Mazda Bongo Friendee Ford Freda Thermostat selection

My 2000 Friendee 2.5TD takes more than 20 min to warm up to an operational temperature of ~90 degrees Celsius. In the tropical climate close to the equator this is far too long and the engine isn&running smooth while not at full temperature. A lower cylinder head temperature will also reduce combustion efficiency and consume more fuel than when between 90-95 degrees. the thermostats in the video are a GATES TH24488G1 and a CIRCOLI TH1-20968002J F420 82degrees (those are the inscriptions on the devices) While setting up this test-bed, I assumed both thermostats where to open at 82 degrees. My confusion in the video is about the Gates hardly opening because it is actually a 88 degrees thermostat, hidden in the code, not very clear anywhere else, but sold as &specs'. My objective is to verify proper working of the thermostat that I will install as a replacement for a likely faulty unit presently. Any feedback and advise based upon the observations and objective are very welcome. I hope this demonstration will help others to decide on their thermostats.
