Time-proven design and classic styling backed by modern technology: The Ural is the only purpose-engineered sidecar motorcycle in production today. The factory was established for WWII needs in 1941 in Irbit, Russia, just east of the Ural Mountains. Since 2003 it is managed by an international team of motorcycle enthusiasts headquartered in Redmond, WA. Urals are fully assembled and tested in Russia using strategically outsourced, quality components from the industry&leading manufacturers. Motorcycles then are partially disassembled to fit the crates, trucked to Germany, then shipped across the ocean to the US. Final assembly and setup are completed by our Technicians and may take up to 12 hours, depending on the model and configuration.
