In today&guitar comparison video, Maury compares the Martin OM-28 Standard VS the Martin OM-28e Modern Deluxe. The OM-28E Modern Deluxe features a solid VTS Sitka top, Adi bracing, carbon-fiber/adirondack bridgeplate & other great upgrades. The venerable Standard Series has a Solid Sitka Spruce top (NOT VTS), maple bridgeplate & sitka braces. The OM-28E MD has maple binding, gold EVO frets and liquid metal bridge pins. The original models had a titanium truss rod, but they&been hard to source, so Martin now uses the lightweight steel rod found on the SC-13E. The saddle is made of Tusq, because of the undersaddle pickup element. The OM-28 standard has antique white binding, plastic bridgepins and a bone saddle. All of the specs on both of these great Martin Guitars can be found on our website. NOTE: A more appropriate comparison would have been the OM-28 VS OM-28 MD without electronics, but we&out of stock on the OM-28MD and this video was a customer-request.
