This video shows how you can use a text LCD display with a Raspberry Pi Pico. It uses micropython to control the LCD display which is connected using an I2C module making the wiring of the circuit very simple. The circuit is designed in Fritzing electronic designer and then built on an electronic breadboard. It then shows how this can be used as a stopwatch or a timer.
