Episode 187. Testing out XRDP in 2020. We are using Linux Mint 19.3 and Ubuntu 20.04 Focal Fosa (daily preview from 1/5/2020). ATTENTION MINT 19.x USERS: Replace the commands used in the video with the following: sudo apt install xrdp xorgxrdp-hwe-18.04 -y I have tested today (6/29/2020) with Mint 20 Cinnamon, and the original commands used in this video work flawlessly in the new version NOTE: As you can see in the second half of the video, this is not working as well on Mint as it does on Ubuntu. I&tested on VMs of Mint 19.3, both Cinnamon and Mate versions and in each case the VirtualBox interface shows it being "stuck" on a black screen with a blinking cursor. You ARE able to login via RDP, but you cannot login directly through the VirtualBox interface. I have NOT tested on physical hardware! NOTICE: There are no guarantees expressed or implied that the procedure demonstrated in this video will work on YOUR system. It is HIGHLY recommended that you A) have a backup and B) have OpenSSH-server installed on your system PRIOR to trying these commands. #linuxmint -~-~~-~~~-~~-~- Please watch: "Rescuezilla 2.4 is here!" -~-~~-~~~-~~-~-
