2012 Nissan Leaf battery swap using Fault Code P3102 Battery Pairing Tool I have a RENTAL only available of this Nissan Leaf Traction Battery pairing tool. You are NOT buying this tool. Rental cost is $150 for up to 7 days from time of receipt to pair up to TWO Nissan leaf batteries to the car. (so if you are doing a swap you can do both cars.) This tool is very expensive to purchase. A Deposit charge of $950 will be charged before the tool is shipped and will be refunded (minus the $150 tool rental fee) upon return of the tool in good working condition. Tool must be returned at purchasers expense with tracking and insurance. The problem with DIY battery swaps is once your swap is complete, the car is in Turtle mode (P3102 code) and can&be driven and will have to trailed in for service. This can NOT be cleared using Leafspy or any normal ODBII Code Tool. Many Nissan Dealers will not use their Nissan Consult Device to repair a battery if they did not do the work themselves and if they do it is very expensive. By renting this tool you can do the swap on your own time and not have to Trailer the car anywhere to have any work done. The Pairing Tool will pair like-to-like battery packs and vehicles. To be 100% certain, swapping like year Leaf battery packs is recommended as changes where made to the packs various years.
