In this tutorial, Ray shows how to do a Predator invisibility, ghost, or invisible person effect using Adobe After Effects Creative Suite 5 (CS5). Load in your footage (clean background and keyed actor) 2. Create a new composition 3. Drag footage onto comp (background on bottom) 4. Pre-compose the background layer (Ctrl/Cmd + Shift + C, Move all attributes, Open New Comp) 5. Make comp 125% and then scale the layer to 125% to fit 6. Back in the original comp, scale and position the actor 6. Pre-compose the actor layer (Ctrl/Cmd + Shift + C, Move all attributes, don&Open New Comp) 6. Add the "Displacement Map" effect to the background layer in the main comp 7. Use the following settings on the displacment effect * Displacement Map Layer: "Actor" * Use for Horizontal/Vertical Displacement: Luminance * Max Horizontal/Vertical Displacement: 55 8.
