Here&a quick video about replacing my starter and upgrading the battery and starter wires from 8 gauge to 4 gauge. I did this to ensure that when starting the massive 1700cc engine, I have all the cranking amps available to me through the thicker gauge wires. There&no need to go bigger than 4 gauge since 4 gauge is more than enough of an upgrade, given the space available. It only took me about 20 minutes, if that, to remove the old starter and install the new one. To do this, I used 2 5mm Allen head bolts, 1 14mm or 12mm wrench to remove the crankcase tube that blocks the bottom portion of the starter, and a 10mm nut for the main starter wire.
