JS Bach: Prelude in F Minor (BWV 534)

Prelude in F minor (BWV 534) JS Bach (1685-1750) Ben Driver (organ) all the Bach at St Peter&in 2020-21 This wonderful prelude and its accompanying fugue should be better known than they are. Said to have been written when Bach was working at the court in Weimar, some say it was written by another hand; I find this hard to believe since so much of the counterpoint, structure and sheer joy of the piece is so familiar to anyone who plays Bach on the organ. This recording was made with two microphones at St Peter&Church Petersham on 29 April 2020. The organ was installed in December 2009 by builders St Martin from Neuchâtel, Switzerland.
