Alfa Romeo Stelvio/Giulia SGW Bypass install & maintenance reset This is a 2019 Alfa Romeo Giulia. This is a DIY in how to install SGW Bypass and reset your maintenance light on a Stelvio or Giulia. Dealer quoted over $250 for the oil change. I did it under $150 for the first time since I had to buy the Multiecuscan license and cables. For future oil changes and maintenance reset light is going to be like $50. This is the process I took to get it done. Note: For Alfa Romeo Giulia and Stelvio with the manufacture date of February 2018 and on you need an extra module is called a SGW bypass plug. New model, and fully unlocked features! Beginning with model years 02/2018 and above Alfa Romeo vehicles are equipped with a new device called a security gateway module. The purpose of this module is to prevent CAN bus hacking over the G or LTE network. This Bypass plug allows you to bypass this module. This unit is required to access the Body control module, infotainment system, and the ECM.
