The Japanese company DENON has introduced a new CD and Super audio CD player, labeled DCD-1700NE, featuring its well-known Advanced AL32 Processing Plus technology, whose algorithms recover information lost during digital recording. The original Denon drive mechanism with SVH (super vibration hybrid) technology, which effectively suppresses internal and external vibrations, paired with a high-precision DAC, allows you to enjoy your favorite songs like never before, as the manufacturer claims. Reading self-written discs also promises to be stable, including CDs and DVDs. Supports decoding ALAC, FLAC and WAV files up to 24-bit/192 kHz, as well as DSD at 2.8 MHz and 5.6 MHz. It is possible to play DVD discs with DIFF or DSF files. The signal-to-noise ratio is no worse than 119 dB for SACDs and 117 dB for CDs. The frequency range is 2 Hz - 50 kHz (-3 dB) for SACD and 2 Hz - 20 kHz (-0.5 dB) for CD. Pure Direct mode turns off the display and unnecessary circuitry to further improve sound quality, but the player does not have a digital input, which eliminates the possibility of using the DCD-1700NE as an external DAC. This is shown to us by a rather modest rear panel of the player. In any case, the new player from Denon promises to be very interesting.
