The STIHL MS 881 is the world’s most powerful production chainsaw. This professional chainsaw has been designed for use in professional forestry, tree maintenance and wood processing and the STIHL MS 881 is ideal for the most demanding jobs with the largest timber. It comes fitted with STIHL’s new 2-MIX engine and the MS 881 professional chainsaw has 6.4kW of power and 8.0 Nm of torque. This comes from the chainsaw’s large 121.6cc displacement which makes it our most powerful chainsaw. It’s a direct replacement for the well-regarded MS 880 professional chainsaw, with the same power and capacity, whilst the new STIHL 2-MIX engine ensures the MS 881 complies with new EU5 emission regulations. It’s also fitted with the new HD2 filter, which improves reliability and helps the chainsaw have optimum performance at all times, as well as a modern oil pump for better oil flow. Changing the bar and chain on the MS 881 chainsaw can be done quickly and efficiently thanks to the design of the sprocket cover with captive nuts. One touch stop also means that the chainsaw is always ready to start once turned off. The MS 881 can be used for a wide range of applications, including felling, crosscutting and use on a saw mill.
