Opening up a new copy of Microsoft Windows 11 Home on a USB drive. I bought this from Newegg for $138.98. This was kind of frustrating to install. There was no way to differentiate between drives in the installer other than their size. I have a 2TB SSD and a 2TB HDD for storage, but I installed the OS on the wrong drive first since I couldn&tell the difference between them in the Windows installer. Windows 11 also requires you to connect to the internet in order to install which caused problems for me. My motherboard required the installation of drivers from a USB drive in order to use the ethernet port and WiFi, but I couldn&do that without Windows so I was stuck. I eventually found a USB ethernet adapter that let me get connected, but I shouldn&have to connect to the internet for the initial install. I&also a little annoyed with some of the changes made for this new version of Windows like the new start menu positioning and setup, but I&probably get used to it. I probably should have just bought Windows 10 and upgraded later, but oh well.
