This is my first Guild that I&purchased and owned. From a first impression standpoint, this particular 70s Guild D-25M is an extremely durable and well rounded guitar. Sure, there&no bling or razzle-dazzle like some other guitars on the market (Martin D-45, Gibson Hummingbird etc). But at the same time, the price points are completely different. To best sum up this guitar, I&say that this is a true "workingmans" acoustic guitar. Just straight to the point on what a traditional dreadnought acoustic guitar should be and play like. This guitar has a nice beefy dreadnought tone with a comfortable 70s style neck profile to compliment it. For a guitar under the $1000 (used) price tag, I&say that the Guild D-25M is an excellent purchase for those who are looking for a quality vintage guitar, but not willing to shell out $2000+. My biggest compliment to this D-25M is easily the durability and build quality. Although there are dings, scratches and wear from play over the years, I am confident that this guitar will easily last another 40+ years (obviously with proper care). Very impressed with this vintage Guild D-25M. ______________ VIDEO TIMELINE: - Why I’ve Never Bought a Guild Guitar @ 1:00 - What I Always Thought About Guild Guitars @ 1:30 - My First Impression of this Guild D-25M @ 2:00 - Is this a Laminate or Solid Wood? @ 2:30 - The Guild “bowl” back Impression @ 3:30 - How I check if a Guitar is Good Quality @ 4:30 - Guild Headstock Design Analysis and Review @ 6:00...
