This is part 2 of the intage/EGR system cleaning on the Mitsubishi. Link to part 1 is at the bottom of this text. Mitsubishi GDI engines (as most other Gasoline DI engines) suffer from coked + gunked up intake systems, some more, some less, but it always happens. Sooner or later, the engine will loose power and fuel consumption is getting worse . The only solution is cleaning the entire intake and EGR system, this is usually done with some sort of sand blaster, but using walnut shells as a blasting media, because any remains will go into the cylinders and sand is the last thing you want there. A we don&have the equipment, we came up with another solution, takes a bit more time, but the result is good. Part 1 shows dismantling the entire thing, part 2 will be cleaning and re-assembling. The Mitsubishi 4G94 2.0 GDI Engine is used in many Mitsubishi cars, the 1.8 version was also used in Volvo S40 Models. This one is a 2002 Mitsubishi Shogun Pinin Mirage with an Aisin AW4 automatic transmission. In some countries this was sold as a Mitsubishi "iO" alo as "Montery" The high pressure fuel sensor fault ( P0190 ) fix comes after this one in a separate video.
