The issue is that most studies and statistics we come across today cannot be trusted 100%. We should ask ourselves: how do you evaluate something that you&reading? We have lost this skill. We¬ teaching people anymore today how to critically think through something. So when you read something, stop and pause and say: &that make sense? Where do I see differences? Where in my experiences does that make sense, or does it not make sense? And why?'' And when you say it doesn&make sense, you need to ask, am I wrong with my thinking, or is there something wrong with the research? And so I think one of the most important things we can begin to do is to say, what was the methodology? Don&just quote research. Who did they do the research on? What was the sample size?cHow did they choose their sample? What were the questions? Because you can get an answer to any question, but if you ask the wrong question, you get the wrong answer. So if you&trying to determine a specific subject, look at how the questions were asked. Were the questions asked in such a way that the thinking was being shaped for the respondent? Or was it really, genuinely seeking a proper response? I think we just got to get back to these basic techniques because we quote people who randomly give us data that have an impoverished research background, and the data are poorly devised.
