"Snowman" is a song by the English hard rock band Rainbow, from their 1983 album Bent Out of Shape. Bent Out of Shape is the seventh studio album released by the British hard rock band Rainbow. It was originally released in August 1983 as an LP and cassette. The cassette featured several longer edits compared to the vinyl version. It was recorded at Sweet Silence Studios in Copenhagen in about 7 weeks. "Snowman" is the second instrumental song on the album, longer than "Anybody There" and also more experimental, including keyboard effects and almost ambient sounds. "Snowman" (Howard Blake, arr. Blackmore) The instrumental "Snowman" is based upon "Walking in the Air", a song written by Howard Blake for the 1982 animated film The Snowman based on Raymond Briggs &children&book of the same name.
