Read along to practice your English and to learn the English greetings WHAT&UP? WHAT&GOING ON? and WHAT&HAPPENING? So today I wanted to talk about the English greeting, "What&up?" I wanted to help you learn the English greeting, "What&up?" I know some of you know this question already. You know that English speakers, when they greet each other, often say, "What&up?" By the way, we never say, "What is up?" We always use the contraction, we always shorten the sentence and we say, "What&up?" If we say it really fast, sometimes we say, "Wassup?" Or, "Wazzup?" But mostly we just say, "What&up?" And the most common answer is, "Not much." Even if we do have a lot going on, even if we are doing a lot in our life, we will often just respond with, "Not much," especially if we are talking to someone we don&know that well. If my mom said, "What&up?" I would probably answer in great detail. I would probably tell her everything that I&doing that day but if someone at work said, "What&up?" I would probably answer by saying, "Not much," or, "Not a whole lot." Those are the two most common answers for the greeting, "What&up?" WANT MORE ENGLISH LESSONS?
